Tomato leaf curl
by: Robbie

Hello Deb, tomatoes can get this leaf curl from spray, something like weedicide or herbicide that you or a nearby garden have used and it's drifted onto your toms. Some Councils are very bad at being careless with weed killers on roadsides.

Other idea is that your compost was too strong especially if it had animal manure in it. Too much can cause a nitrogen overload which will curl up the leaves of toms too. Could be some other stressful condition also like too much hot sun, too much water, damage to roots, or loud swearing nearby :-)

The tomato leaf curl will come right and your plants should still grow and produce. But if it's one of those dang viruses that toms get it will show by funny markings of leaves which go pale and it's more serious.
