What space between planting vegetables?

by Bill
(UK)

This is my first year at growing veggies in a raised bed veg garden and the results so far are looking very good indeed. I have planted my crops as I would have done normally but can anyone please tell me if I can plant them closer together and what are the recommended distances between them. This topic might have already been answered so my apologies for not coming across it on your super site.
Bill.

raised beds

I have a raised bed that is only 5' by 8'. I have 2 varieties of lettuce and salad onions and several peppers and 5 head of cabbage growing. when lettuce is done i will plant early fall garlic in its place. There is so much you can do in a small raised bed. Good luck.Oh, and I also plant short sunflowers around the edges.my other raised bed is about same size and is all tomatoes.
