Eliminate weeds and ants with boiling water

by Mary Conley
(Omaha, NE)

We used to use poisons to remove the little weeds in-between the bricks on our patio, and also the ants that enjoyed the sand foundation the bricks were placed on. Now, I take a tea kettle of boiling water to my patio and pour it on the stubborn weeds and ant hills. It takes more effort, but it is a good feeling knowing we do not use the poisons anymore.

Boiling water, continued

After reading my hint on how to rid weeds and ants from my patio with boiling water, I received e-mails from friends excited about trying this on their driveway and sidewalk cracks.
