Growing broccoli with leaves eaten off?

by Dawn T

I started my first garden ever this summer and it was doing fabulous, and I was so proud of it. I just got back from going away for the holiday weekend and all of the leaves were chewed off my broccoli plants and my lettuce was almost gone!! very sad! Will the broccoli still grow without leaves, or should I just pull it and try to grow something different there?

Broccoli and lettuce leaves eaten off
by: ~ Megan ~

Well that's a bother. This answer could be a bit late, but your broccoli almost certainly won't grow back properly. Those snails or slugs would've set them back too much if
ALL the leaves are gone. Lettuce should, as long as the growing tips aren't eaten out.
Sympathy! ~ Megan ~
