How to stop cats digging in garden

by Rose

I am having trouble keeping cats from digging in my garden. I have heard that moth balls thrown around will keep them out. Have you heard of this, or can you tell me if there is a solution?

Stop cats digging in veggie patch.

I save my leafless shrub or tree prunings, I.e. Small branches with lots of twigs;
then after planting my garden I lay the branches so there are no bare spaces for the cats to dig. I leave the branches in place until the plants are big enough to hold their own. I have used this method for years and it never fails.
