Sage leaves getting smaller
by: William

Bit like my old Dad, he's getting smaller 'cos he's old. Gittin' a bit woody too like sage does after a few yrs. I wouldn't swap him for the world! Take an early spring cutting of your sage plant and grow that into a new bush and say goodbye to the old one. Sage gets weaker and weaker after a few years, say 3-4 yrs. I grow lots of herbs and sell them at a local store and sage is easy to grow from cuttings and my main bushes nearly always need replacing every now and then no matter how much I compost and tell them how young they look! Prune sage back by half at the end of summer. Don't water sage too much because they die if continually wet or shady.
