Lettuce bag

I planted too many seeds in holes, and it looks like they all sprouted. What should I do?

Crowded seedlings

I would carefully cut off most of them with some little scissors. Cut them at ground level and let one or maybe 2 seedlings grow. If you let them all grow they will be spindly and weak and if you try and untangle their roots later it will probably damage them.

Yes, it's a good idea to cut off most of the little seedlings. If they look strong and have grown a bit, you can try easing the clump out and separating them and replanting in a bigger pot until they're strong enough to go in garden. Make sure that the soil is quite damp. Lettuce seedlings are fairly tough so that might work. You will have lots of lettuces then!
