Very few ears of corn in our corn patch.

We have a small corn patch, about 30ft x 15ft. There are 7 rows and we planted them 24 inches apart. Our patch has very few ears of corn on the stocks. The outside edges have a few ears but most have none, and the middle rows have no ears. We have planted corn many times but have never seen this problem. It was a wet and cold spring and we planted later than usual, the first week in June, but that is about the only thing that was different than other years. The corn is tasseled out and we are wondering if we will get any more ears now?
